Verbund system
Chlorine and Sulfurtrioxide are the primary products for a large variety of reagents which are used for downstream fine chemicals and custom synthesis.
Integrated production and recycling system

We run our own chloro-alkali electrolyses. Resulting basic chemicals are chlorine, hydrogen and caustic soda. At our Pratteln site we operate a sulfuric acid plant for the production of sulfur dioxide, sulfur trioxide, sulfuric acid, and oleum. This results in a highly efficient Verbund system.
Being a leading producer of a wide range of reagents such as chlorine, thionyl chloride, sulfuryl chloride, chlorosulfonic acid, and dimethyl sulfate enables CABB to be a widely recognized manufacturer of chlorinated, sulfonated, methylated intermediates and other downstream products.
Many of the chemistries performed in our plants generate gaseous by-products (HCl and SO2). These corrosive gases are collected, separated, purified and fed back to the production system, enabling both an ecological and economical production.
On-site production and pipeline supply of hazardous reagents

State-of-the-art multi-product and multi-purpose plants are supplied with reagents from dedicated plants via pipeline. This allows for highly efficient and safe manufacturing and handling of hazardous chemicals.
